FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does certification cost?

Certification costs £250 as an introductory price, which includes the one-day training at your premises and your certification. Training is delivered as theory plus a practical assessment.

Do I need experience with liquid systems?

No. We expect professional roofing experience, and the training covers everything specific to the system: survey, preparation, application and detailing, finishing with a practical assessment.

Is there territorial exclusivity?

No. Certification is not a franchise and there are no territories; multiple Approved Contractors can serve the same area. The public directory lists every certified company.

How long is certification valid?

Two years. Before it expires we invite you to recertify, which keeps your listing in the public register and your access to the programme benefits.

What insurance do I need?

Current public liability insurance is required to join the programme. We check it as part of the eligibility review when you apply.
